I am particularly interested in course work that explores issues of law in both historical and social contexts. I am planning to pursue studies in the field of civil law, with a view to working for local government in a child-advocacy role. Social and historical law that relates to specific issues of social control and ethical decision making have always been of great interest to me. I am particularly drawn to the Master of Jurisprudence program currently offered at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. I feel that the highly academic focus of this program will best prepare me for a future career in the field of applied child and family law that I anticipate pursuing in the near future...
